to watch the vedio you might want to tilt you head to the left. Sorry wasn't really thinking when i took the video
We had to take the metro and a bus to get there. On the bus we met this girl who looked super nice and found out that she was going to the temple too. We sat and talked to her and she says she has made it her goal to go as much as possible. She is the only one in her family that is a member. It was really cool to talk to her about it. The temple is beautiful!! The area it is in is pretty sketchy but the temple is super pretty. The temple grounds are amazing, it is was cool to be there because it was really close to busy streets but because of the way they did the landscaping you couldn’t even here it. It was so quiet and peaceful. Inside was simple but so nice. They had used a red wood of some kind for all of the wood work and on the walls they don’t have murals like the Manti but it does have framed art. It the lighting was very bright and it was just nice to be there. The last few weeks we have gone to all these orthodox churches that have a lot of stuff going on with all the paintings, the gold and dead people. It was nice to be in the temple that was bright, happy and simply beautiful. The people that worked there were so nice. They were a mix of members for the local area and some of them were from the states. The ones from the states were leaning Russian and were super cute.
We did baptisms for about 15 ish maybe 20 people. The older couples there were hoping we lived locally so we could come back and do them more often. Surprisingly for being a new temple they just don’t have the young people in the area to go and do baptisms that need to be done. When we did baptisms the older guy asked if he could do it in Russian so he could practice his Russian. We joined in with a group of Russians so we said that would be wonderful. So it was cool to do all that is Russian, once in a life time thing and it was amazing. It was so nice to be in the temple and not worry about anything just has some peace and quiet. After baptism we stayed inside for another hour if not longer chatting with the temple works. It was cool to hear all of their stories and talk to someone who speaks English.
